How We Make Money

AZ Energy Hub is 100% free for Arizona homeowners. Every calculator, rate guide, and comparison on this site is available without registration, paywalls, or sales pitches. The site is funded by a single, simple revenue source: display advertising.

Display ads are our only revenue source

We do not use affiliate links, we do not sell leads to solar installers, and we do not charge for anything. Ads pay for the server costs, data subscriptions, and time it takes to keep Arizona rate data current.

Display advertising

When you see ads on the site, we earn a small amount based on views and clicks. We work with ad networks that respect your experience: no pop-ups, no autoplay video with sound, and no ads that interfere with calculators or cover up results. That is the entire business model.

What we deliberately do not do

Our commitments

  • ×No affiliate links. We do not earn commissions on any product, so nothing on this site is written to sell you something.
  • ×No lead selling. We will never sell your information to solar installers, lenders, or anyone else.
  • ×No gated calculators. Calculator results are never hidden behind an email signup or registration.
  • ×No fake testing. We never claim to have personally tested products we have not used. Where information comes from manufacturer specs or published data, we say so.

How our content stays neutral

Because we earn nothing from product sales, our guides and calculators have no commercial pressure behind them. Our analysis is based on publicly available specifications, verified manufacturer data, real Arizona utility rates (APS, SRP, ED3, TEP), and how each option performs under Arizona-specific conditions: extreme heat, monsoon outages, and time-of-use rate structures.

Where we have not personally tested something, we say so and rely on published specs and verified data. Our About page explains our methodology in detail.

Calculators are always free

Every calculator on this site uses real APS, SRP, ED3, and TEP rate data plus NREL solar production estimates. No sales pitch, no lead generation, just accurate math to help you make informed decisions about solar, batteries, and energy costs in Arizona.
